The logo for the Kids’ Club at Dorothy Lane Market was looking very dated. I had been meaning to update it, but never seemed to have the time. But with the implementation of the redesign of the other DLM branded materials it was finally the right time.
I kept the spirit of the old logo, but drew the lion mascot (Oliver) out a bit more. He was only a head an shoulders originally. I tweaked the lines and curves to make them softer and more friendly. I worked on the smile quite a bit to make sure it was just right. Then I updated the old, faded looking colors to match our current, more vibrant, branding. Below you can see the old logo for comparision.
