About this year’s card: I can’t remember where I found this baby pinecone, but I thought it was awesome, so I took a few photos of it and waited for the opportunity to present itself. As I was exploring option for this year’s card, I remember the photos and began working with them. I did a lighting adjustment and changed the background color for more contrast. Then I added in a texture. Ever since I started doing holiday postcards, I’ve included a dove. Usually the dove is much more promient, but this year I made it a very subtle addition to the rich textured photo.
